Portions of southwest and west central Virginia, including the following counties and independent city, in southwest Virginia, Carroll, City of Galax and Patrick. In west central Virginia, Franklin.

* WHEN...
Until 630 PM EST.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 235 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Beaver Creek, Archies Creek, Ararat River, Big Chestnut Creek, Back Creek and Anglin Branch.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
