At 1247 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles north of Brevard, or 5 miles northwest of Etowah, moving north at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Downtown Asheville, Brevard, East Asheville, West Asheville, Mills River, Canton, Etowah, Biltmore Forest, Bent Creek, and B.R.
