Fog will be locally dense along and east of the Blue Ridge from Meadows of Dan and Hillsville, Virginia, south into the North Carolina foothills and piedmont. The area along I-77 between Hillsville and Yadkinville, as well as I-74 around Mount Airy will have visibilities as low as a quarter mile.
Those traveling across this region this morning should be prepared for poor visibility and slowed traffic at times. Use low beam headlights, and give yourself more time to get to your destination. This fog should dissipate after daybreak.
