At 950 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Sissonville, or 10 miles east of Winfield, moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Nitro, Sissonville, Clendenin, Poca, Cross Lanes, Pinch, Elkview, Liberty, and Walton.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 79 between mile markers 4 and 23.
Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 106 and 123.
