The combination of low relative humidity less than 25 percent, northwest wind 10 to 15 mph gusting to around 25 mph, and dry fuels, will create a risk of adverse fire behavior Wednesday over central North Carolina. The strongest winds and driest conditions are expected across the western Carolinas into portions of the Piedmont.
