Central Mecklenburg County in the piedmont of North Carolina...

* Until 1145 PM EDT.

* At 1035 PM EDT, Between 2.5 and 4 inches of rain have fallen across the north side of Charlotte. Mallard Creek at Pavilion Boulevard has risen above flood stage and residual flooding will continue for the next hour. Additional showers with rainfall rates of 0.5 to 1.5 inches in 1 hour will continue to move across the area. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Ongoing flash flooding will gradually reside over the next hour.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
