..SHOWERS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER CENTRAL DAVIDSON COUNTY...
MOVING INTO NORTHERN DAVIDSON AND FORSYTH COUNTIES...
At 505 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated showers with very heavy rain extending across central Davidson County. These showers were moving north at 30 mph. Areas around Lexington, Thomasville, and Winston- Salem will see bursts of heavy rainfall with these showers through 600 PM.
HAZARD... Very heavy rainfall. Rainfall rates of 1.5 inches per hour. In addition, gusty winds to 30 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Heavy rain will produce ponding on area roads.
Locations impacted include...
Winston-Salem, High Point, Lexington, Thomasville, Clemmons, Bermuda Run, Linwood, Lewisville, Walkertown, and Denton.
