Additional snow accumulations between 4 and 8 inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. * WHERE... Western Pendleton County. * WHEN... Until noon EST Thursday. * IMPACTS... Brief whiteout conditions are possible with visibilities dropping below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. The strong winds and weight of snow on tree limbs may down power lines and could cause sporadic power outages. Travel could be very difficult along US-33 near the Eastern Continental Divide. The hazardous conditions look to worsen during the overnight hours. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... Snowfall rates around 0.5 to 1 inch per hour are possible at times through Thursday morning especially in embedded snow squalls. Wind chills of 15 to -5 are possible through Thursday morning. |
