Flood Advisory issued June 11 at 2:02PM EDT until June 11 at 4:30PM EDT by NWS Raleigh NC
At 202 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms have temporarily moved out of the area, but will likely return within the next hour. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. 1 to 2 inches of rain has already fallen.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Kernersville, Summerfield, Stokesdale, Walkertown, Lake Brandt, Lake Jeanette Marina, Lake Townsend, Colfax, Haw River State Park, Lake Townsend Marina, Belews Creek, Belews Lake and Monticello.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inch are expected over the area through the afternoon. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
