At 655 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Teays Valley, or 7 miles west of Nitro, moving southeast at 5 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Nitro, Jefferson, South Charleston, St. Albans, Dunbar, Hurricane, Culloden, Institute, Tornado, Teays Valley, Alum Creek, Cross Lanes, Griffithsville, and Yawkey.
This includes Interstate 64 in West Virginia between mile markers 32 and 53.
