Canceled 8/21/26 8:31 PM Flood Advisory issued August 21 at 8:16PM EDT until August 21 at 10:45PM EDT by NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC * WHAT... Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE... Southeastern Mecklenburg County in the piedmont of North Carolina... Northwestern Union NC County in the piedmont of North Carolina... * WHEN... Until 1045 PM EDT. * IMPACTS... Nuisance flooding of low-lying areas adjacent to streams and other poor-drainage areas, including farmland, parks, greenways, boat-access areas, golf courses, underpasses, and parking lots. Isolated, shallow flows over roadways is possible. A few flood-prone, low-water crossings may remain impassible. A small culvert washout or two may have occurred. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 804 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicates earlier torrential rainfall has ended. No additional heavy rainfall is expected this evening. However, storm-total rainfall of 1.5-2.5 inches occurred in less than 60 minutes over resulting in excessive runoff that overwhelmed drainage ditches and likely caused nuisance flooding of low-lying, poorly draining areas including along roadways and intersections. However, this flooding has likely receded and conditions are likely returning to normal, therefore, this Flood Advisory will be cancelled at 8:30pm. - Some locations that may have experienced nuisance flooding include...
