Canceled 8/22/25 5:30 AM Flood Advisory issued August 22 at 2:24AM EDT until August 22 at 5:30AM EDT by NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC * WHAT... Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE... A portion of piedmont North Carolina, including the following counties, Gaston and Mecklenburg. * WHEN... Until 530 AM EDT. * IMPACTS... Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 222 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Rainfall trends indicate the need for a Flood Advisory, especially for urban areas. An upgrade to a Flash Flood Warning is possible if conditions continue to worsen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
