Several days of soaking rains have led to streams and creeks running high. Another round of moderate to locally heavy rain tonight could push these creeks out of their banks.

Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...
Portions of western Maryland, including the following areas, Eastern Garrett, Extreme Western Allegany and Western Garrett and eastern West Virginia, including the following areas, Western Grant, Western Mineral and Western Pendleton.

* WHEN...
From late tonight through Wednesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Showers and thunderstorms are expected to move over the area in the predawn hours on Wednesday and drift southeast through the day. Repeated rounds are possible, with localized rainfall totals nearing 1 to 3 inches. Given days of soaking rains and creeks and streams running high, this could result in flooding.
