The threat has ended across the mountains away from the Tennessee border and across the foothills and the western Piedmont to the north and west of Interstate 85. Some light snow may linger for another hour over the Piedmont east and south of I-85, but should move east and taper off by 1 pm. Sun is expected to come out this afternoon and should quickly melt away most of the snow, except for places that remain in the shade.
