Snow, mixed with rain in the valleys, expected in the North Carolina mountains and far northeast Georgia. Total snow accumulations mainly under an inch most valleys and 1 to 3 inches on ridgetops, with locally higher amounts. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...
Portions of northeast Georgia and western North Carolina.

* WHEN...
Until noon EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...
The snowfall will create slippery and snow covered roadways. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes.
