Flood Advisory issued June 9 at 9:28PM EDT until June 9 at 11:45PM EDT by NWS Raleigh NC
At 928 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between one and two and half inches of rain has fallen since 8 PM. Locations most impacted include Cub Creek and Marlowe Creek in far southeastern Person county.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Oxford, Roxboro, Creedmoor, Butner, Rougemont, Concord, Stem, Moriah, Surl, Berea, Lake Butner, Lake Michie, Bethel Hill, Mayo Reservoir, Bushy Fork, Falls Lake, Hyco Lake and Hyco Marina.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
