Flash Flood Warning issued June 11 at 3:08PM EDT until June 11 at 5:15PM EDT by NWS Blacksburg VA
At 308 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that rainfall has decreased across Caswell County during the past hour. Several locations in the county saw from 1.5 to 2.0 inches of rainfall during the past couple of hours. This is in addition to heavy rain which fell in many of these same areas yesterday. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Doppler radar.
IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Yanceyville, Bethel, Providence, Jericho, Prospect Hill, Camp Springs and Milton.
This includes the following streams and drainages...
Cane Creek, Burkes Creek, Benton Branch and Country Line Creek.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area.
