Portions of northwest North Carolina, including the following counties, Alleghany NC and Ashe and southwest Virginia, including the following county, Grayson.

* WHEN...
Until 500 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 151 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Bear Branch, Beaverdam Creek, Elk Creek, Grassy Creek, Bridle Creek, Brush Creek, Little Peach Bottom Creek, Crab Fork, Little Peak Creek, Little River, Fox Creek, Helton Creek, Flag Pond Branch and Farmers Branch.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
