At 921 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a thunderstorm with intense lightning and torrential rainfall 8 miles west of Salisbury, or near Cleveland, moving northeast at 20 mph.
Locations to be impacted include...
Salisbury, Mocksville, Cooleemee, Cleveland, Spencer, Fork Church, Piedmont Research Station, Woodleaf, Sheffield, and Mount Ulla.
Torrential rainfall rates up to 3 inches per hour will be possible in these areas.
