At 623 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10 miles northwest of Hoffman, or 15 miles north of Rockingham, moving east at 30 mph.
Wind gusts up to 45 mph will be possible with this storm.
Heavy rain and minor flooding and deadly cloud to ground lightning will also be possible with this storm.
Locations impacted include...
Southern Pines, Carthage, Fort Bragg, Pinehurst, Aberdeen, Hoffman, Whispering Pines, Pinebluff, Ellerbe and Foxfire.
