Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...
A portion of southwest Virginia, including the following counties and independent city, Carroll, City of Galax, Grayson and Wythe.

* WHEN...
Until 745 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 438 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Beaver Creek, Glady Fork, Brush Creek, Cripple Creek, Dean Branch, East Fork Crooked Creek, Bull Run, Chestnut Creek, Elk Creek, Dixon Branch and Crooked Creek.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
