Areas of fog with patchy dense fog are beginning to develop over the Coastal Plain, eastern Sandhills and portions of the northeast Piedmont, but could be possible anywhere across central NC.
Visibility is generally between half a mile to three miles, with localized visibility of half a mile or less. If fog becomes more widespread, a Dense Fog Advisory may be needed.
Motorists should be alert for sudden changes in visibility due to the areas of dense fog. Drive at reduced speeds and use low beam headlights only.
