At 1129 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Hoffman, or 9 miles southwest of Southern Pines, moving northeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Southern Pines, Rockingham, Raeford, Carthage, Pinehurst, Aberdeen, Hoffman, Whispering Pines, Pinebluff and Ellerbe.
This includes Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 26 and 39.
