A mostly sunny sky and low afternoon relative humidity can be expected today. Relative humidity values will drop into the lower to mid 20s over most areas across southwest Virgnia this afternoon, and a few locations may dip to slightly below 20 percent. West to southwest winds of 5 to 10 mph with some higher gusts can also be expected this afternoon. These conditions will lead to increased fire danger.
Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether you may burn outdoors today.
