...The National Weather Service in Charleston WV has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in West Virginia...
Tug Fork River at Litwar affecting McDowell and Mingo Counties.
.Heavy rain of 2 to 3 inches will result in moderate flooding on the Tug Fork River in and around Litwar.
For the Tug Fork River...Moderate flooding is forecast.

Moderate flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record.

* WHERE...
Tug Fork River at Litwar.

* WHEN...
From this evening to tomorrow evening.

* IMPACTS...
At 24.0 feet, Low sections of County Route 1 near the river flood from the Litwar bridge down to Panther. Sections of Apple Blossom Hill Road floods. Low areas along the river from Iaeger to Panther flood.
At 25.0 feet, County Route 1 floods in several sections along the river from the Litwar bridge down to Panther. Secondary roads along the river flood from Iaeger to Panther flood in several sections. Areas around a school near the river flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 6:25 PM EST Saturday the stage was 21.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 25.4 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon.
- Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 24.5 feet on 05/03/2002.
