At 308 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms near Hoffman, or 9 miles northeast of Rockingham. These storms were nearly stationary.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Southern Pines, Rockingham, Fort Bragg, Pinehurst, Hamlet, Aberdeen, Hoffman, Pope AFB, Spring Lake, and Whispering Pines.
