Canceled 6/10/21 7:03 PM Flash Flood Warning issued June 10 at 5:44PM EDT until June 10 at 7:30PM EDT by NWS Charleston WV At 544 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Spotter called observing Little Sandy Creek near Sandyville out of banks spilling out onto the roadway. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen and more expected. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Ripley, Ravenswood, Sandyville, Reedy, Leroy, Peewee, Rockport, Morristown, Portland and Lucille. This includes the following highways... Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 138 and 164. |
