Flash Flood Watch issued June 11 at 4:03AM EDT until June 12 at 12:00AM EDT by NWS Charleston WV
The National Weather Service in Charleston has expanded the * Flash Flood Watch to include portions of southwest Virginia and West Virginia, including the following areas, in southwest Virginia, Buchanan and Dickenson. In West Virginia, Barbour, Doddridge, Harrison, Pleasants, Taylor and Tyler.

* Through this evening.

* Showers and thunderstorms are expected again today. Due to high moisture content and slow storm motion, storms could produce 1 to 2 inches of rain in less than an hour. Even area wide average precipitation could total close to an inch, and locally higher totals of 3 to 4 inches are possible, especially where a storm persists, or multiple storms hit the same location. As a result, flash flooding will be possible, especially in areas with saturated soils from heavy rain in recent days.
