Canceled 3/5/25 6:00 AM Special Weather Statement issued March 5 at 5:41AM EST by NWS Charleston WV At 541 AM EST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Ranger to Harts to near Mount Gay-Shamrock. Movement was northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Chief Logan State, Chapmanville, Verdunville, Ranger, Gill, Sweetland, Palermo, Spurlockville, Griffithsville, Mitchell Heights, Hamlin, Harts, Mud, Yawkey, Myra, Mount Gay-Shamrock, and Holden. This includes Route 119 near mile marker 17, and between mile markers 28 and 42. ![]() |
