At 1003 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Biscoe, or 9 miles east of Troy, moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Southern Pines, Carthage, Pinehurst, Biscoe, Whispering Pines, Robbins, Star, Candor, Taylortown, and Steeds.
This includes Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 41 and 59.
