At 912 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Powellton, or 9 miles west of Fayetteville, moving east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Fayetteville, Babcock State Park, Oak Hill, Ansted, Gauley Bridge, Hawks Nest State Park, Powellton, Nettie, and Mount Nebo.
This includes the following highways...
West Virginia Turnpike between mile markers 60 and 63.
Route 19 between mile markers 13 and 38.
