Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE... A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Alamance, Chatham, Durham, Granville, Orange and Wake. * WHEN... Until 745 AM EDT. * IMPACTS... Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 645 AM EDT, Doppler radar shows that the bulk of the heavy rain has shifted to the east of the warned area. Up to 2 inches of rain have already fallen. Additional rain upstream may develop over the next hour or so. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Hillsborough, Creedmoor, Carrboro, Mebane, Butner, Rougemont, Morrisville, Swepsonville, Stem, Eno River State Park, Schley, Parkwood, Bethesda, Efland, Gorman, Bahama and Lake Michie. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood ![]() |
