At 559 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms with torrential rainfall along a line extending from 7 miles south of Morganton to 5 miles southeast of Columbus, and moving southeast at 10 mph.
Locations to be impacted include...
Forest City, Rutherfordton, Columbus, Morganton, Boiling Springs SC, Spindale, Lyman, Landrum, Wellford and Inman.
Wind gusts up to 40 mph and very heavy rainfall rates up to 2 inches per hour will be possible in these areas.
