At 453 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Gray, or 7 miles northwest of Johnson City, moving northeast at 30 mph.
Pea size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm.

Johnson City, Kingsport, Bristol Tn, Bristol Va, Jonesborough, Gray, Oak Grove, Walnut Hill, Spurgeon and Midway.
