The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for * Portions of central Virginia and western Virginia, including the following areas: in central Virginia, Albemarle, Central Virginia Blue Ridge and Nelson. In western Virginia, Rockingham.

* Through Friday evening * Additional showers and thunderstorms capable of producing heavy rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 additional inches are expected to re-develop late Thursday night and persist into most of Friday.

* More heavy rainfall may cause additional flash flooding.
