At 713 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms with torrential rainfall along a line extending from 5 miles southwest of Yadkinville to 10 miles northeast of Statesville to 12 miles southeast of Newton, and moving southeast at 20 mph.
Locations to be impacted include...
Huntersville, Kannapolis, Salisbury, Statesville, Mocksville, West Concord, Cornelius, Mooresville, Davidson and China Grove.
Wind gusts up to 40 mph and very heavy rainfall rates up to 2 inches per hour will be possible in these areas.
