THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 51 IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN NORTH CAROLINA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 12 COUNTIES IN CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA ANSON CUMBERLAND HARNETT HOKE JOHNSTON LEE MOORE RICHMOND SAMPSON SCOTLAND WAYNE WILSON THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ABERDEEN, ANGIER, BUIES CREEK, CAMP MACKALL, CARTHAGE, CLAYTON, CLINTON, DUNN, ELLERBE, ERWIN, FAYETTEVILLE, GOLDSBORO, HOPE MILLS, LAURINBURG, LILLINGTON, PINEHURST, POLKTON, RAEFORD, ROCKINGHAM, ROSEBORO, SANFORD, SELMA, SMITHFIELD, SOUTHERN PINES, SPRING LAKE, WADESBORO, WAGRAM, AND WILSON.
