Fog will be dense at times across the mountains and foothills of Virginia and North Carolina, and moreso along the ridges.
Visibilities will drop to less than a quarter mile at times, so those traveling through 8pm should be alert of rapid changes in visibility. Winds picking up later this evening will erode the fog.
