The Flash Flood Watch continues for * Portions of central Virginia...northwest Virginia and western Virginia, including the following areas: in central Virginia, Greene. In northwest Virginia, Madison, Northern Virginia Blue Ridge, Page and Rappahannock. In western Virginia, Rockingham.

* Until Midnight EDT tonight * A slow moving cold front accompanied by nearly stationary storm motions and ample moisture in the atmosphere will lead to additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches, locally higher, resulting in flash flooding.

* Heavy rainfall in a short amount of time can result in rapid rises of water in streams, creeks, and urban areas.
