At 238 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a thunderstorm with torrential rainfall 9 miles south of Blowing Rock, or 8 miles east of B.R. Parkway-Linville Falls To Grandfather, moving east at 10 mph.
Locations to be impacted include...
Edgemont, Patterson, Upton, Globe, and Collettsville.
Torrential rainfall rates up to 3 inches per hour will be possible in these areas.
