At 630 AM EST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 5 miles north of Lenoir to 12 miles southwest of Hickory to 7 miles north of Gaffney. Movement was northeast at 75 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Gastonia, Huntersville, Hickory, Statesville, Shelby, Lenoir, Newton, Lincolnton, Taylorsville, and Central Charlotte.
