At 629 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms with torrential rainfall along a line extending from 5 miles southwest of Hickory to 10 miles northeast of Forest City to 13 miles southeast of Columbus, and moving southeast at 10 mph.
Locations to be impacted include...
Hickory, Spartanburg, Newton, Lincolnton, Forest City, Rutherfordton, Morganton, Longview, Boiling Springs SC and Spindale.
Wind gusts up to 40 mph and very heavy rainfall rates up to 2 inches per hour will be possible in these areas.
