Portions of southwest Virginia, including the following counties, Bland, Giles, Smyth and Tazewell and southeast West Virginia, including the following county, Mercer. * WHEN... Until 915 PM EDT. * IMPACTS... Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 736 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Beaver Branch, Bolars Fork, Adair Run, Blue Spring Creek Blacklick Creek and Big Spring Branch. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Bluefield... Bland... Princeton... Tazewell... Pearisburg...
