At 523 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles south of Elon, or 9 miles southwest of Burlington, moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Burlington, Graham, Swepsonville, Alamance, Lake Mackintosh Marina, Lake Guilford Mackintosh Marina, Snow Camp, Sutphin, Cane Creek Reservoir, and Saxapahaw.
This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 136 and 140.
