Portions of north central North Carolina, including the following county, Caswell and south central Virginia, including the following counties and independent city, City of Danville, Halifax and Pittsylvania. * WHEN... Until 300 AM EDT. * IMPACTS... Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1158 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Big Toby Creek, Birch Creek, Banister River, Cane Creek, Barker Creek and Carlton Creek. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Danville... Yanceyville... Bethel... Providence... Blairs... Ingram...
