Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.

Portions of DC, including the following , District of Columbia, Maryland, including the following areas, Anne Arundel, Cecil, Central and Southeast Howard, Central and Southeast Montgomery, Prince Georges, Southeast Harford and Southern Baltimore, and Virginia, including the following areas, Arlington/Falls Church/Alexandria, Central and Southeast Prince William/Manassas/Manassas Park, Culpeper, Eastern Loudoun, Fairfax, Greene, Madison, Northern Fauquier, Northern Virginia Blue Ridge, Northwest Prince William, Page, Rappahannock, Rockingham, Shenandoah, Southern Fauquier and Warren.

* WHEN...
Until 11 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Numerous thunderstorms continue across portions of Virginia and Southern Maryland, including the DC Metro. These storms are still capable of producing very heavy instantaneous rainfall rates, and may exhibit some training motion at times. In total, a widespread 1 to 2 inches of rain is expected, with embedded higher totals of 2 to 5 inches. Flash flooding may occur as a result.
