At 930 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Plyler, or 8 miles northwest of Albemarle, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Asheboro, Albemarle, North Carolina Zoo, Badin Lake, Seagrove, Plyler, Badin, Richfield, New London, and Steeds.
This includes Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 54 and 72.
