Snow above 3500 feet. Additional snow accumulations up to an inch, with locally higher amounts possible above 5,000 feet.
Additional snow accumulations of a dusting to possibly half an inch in some lower elevations. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

The North Carolina mountain counties along the Tennessee border above 3500 feet.

* WHEN...
Until 3 PM EDT this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...
The snowfall will create slippery and snow covered roadways. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning and evening commute. Strong winds could cause damage to trees and power lines.
