Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

Portions of north central North Carolina, including the following county, Rockingham and south central Virginia, including the following county and independent city, City of Martinsville and Henry.

* WHEN...
Until 115 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1003 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area, especially in the Martinsville area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.

Beaver Creek, Flippins Creek, Jordan Creek, Hairston Branch, Cascade Creek, Leatherwood Creek, Grassy Fork, Crab Creek, Home Creek and Fishing Fork.
