Lingering moisture from recent rain combined with drizzle, fog, and temperatures around freezing in localized areas of the northern Potomac Highlands may result in a few slick or icy spots early this morning. The fog may also be locally dense and reduce visibility to less than one quarter of a mile in some locations.
Motorists should remain alert for sudden slick spots as well as reductions in visibility. Leave extra time and following distance, reduce speed, and use low beam headlights.
